Auditions ALL INFORMATION MUST BE TYPED THEN PRINTED (HANDWRITTEN APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) AUDITION DAY- June 6, 2010 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Deadline for registration is April 15th, 2010. Applications will be accepted after that date with a $20 late fee per student. Auditions will take place at: Green Brook Plaza - 326 Rte 22 West, Suite 10B, Green Brook, NJ (entrance around the back of building). All schedules will be sent to the teachers. Please bring form for judge to the audition as well as the music. All instruments are eligible Any student who achieves an Outstanding score at the Audition will be eligible to participate in a Recital on Sunday, June 27th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m
TYMA Auditions are not competitions. The auditions are for all pupils of various degrees of talent and instruments and are meant to be a means of rewarding students for their year of study. There is no age minimum or maximum. Teachers should only enter those students who are well prepared. No arrangements of any pieces will be allowed except for one choice in 1st or 2nd grade. Students must play 4 scales and arpeggios (1st grade-1 sharp and 1 flat: major and minor), each next grade add 1 more key signature. Two contrasting solos - one by memory. Sight reading test willl be given at the end of the audition. All music must be presented to the judge. Only members who are up to date on their membership dues may enter any students for audition. Awards: Every student who participates will receive a certificate with a grade: participant, good, excellent, or outstanding. The judges decision is final. There will be 7 grade levels with students having the option to skip or repeat them. Application fees are non refundable and are as follows: 1st grade - $26.00 (scales 1 octave) 2nd grade - $28.00 (scales 1 octave) 3rd grade - $31.00 (scales 2 octaves) 4th grade - $34.00 (scales 2 octaves) 5th grade - $38.00 (scales 4 octaves) 6th grade - $41.00 (scales 4 octaves) 7th grade - $46.00 (scales 4 octaves) Teachers, please send ONE CHECK for all students, payable to TYMA. Any category can be repeated.
